UPDATED: On June 15, Brandon announced that he has completed a major story arc of AMoL. This was a section where Robert Jordan left very few notes, hence one of the most difficult to write.
Tor author Brandon Sanderson has contracted to complete A Memory of Light based on Robert Jordan's partial manuscript, many audiotapes and copious notes. Robert Jordan's wife, Harriet Rigney, will continue to edit. The manuscript is due to be finished December 2008 with publication some time in the fall of 2009.

Brandon posts a progress bar on his website and we will be charting it as he writes. Bear in mind that this is just an extrapolation and also this is the first draft, so don't get too excited as the estimated completion date shifts around or draws near!
