She is slim and dignified, not young, but quite pretty. (TPoD,Ch21) She is tall for a Cairhienin. (TPoD,Ch22)

Rand sends for many nobles of dubious loyalty to help him fight the Seanchan. Among them are Ailil Riatin and Bertome Saighan. (TPoD,Ch21)
As Rand's forces Travel to Altara, Ailil and Anaiyella complain about being taken into battle. (TPoD,Ch22)
After the first skirmish with the Seanchan, Ailil consults with her Lance-Captain Denharad. Days later, when Rand is wounded, Ailil and Anaiyella stay near him till help arrives. It is not clear if they prefer him alive or dead. (TPoD,Ch23)
Ailil and Anaiyella are with Rand before the final battle with the Seanchan. Adley loses control of saidin killing many of their armsmen. (TPoD,Ch24)
Rand brings Ailil, Anaiyella, Bertome, Weiramon and other nobles of questionable loyalty back to the Sun Palace with him and sets them up with trustworthy servants. (TPoD,Ch27)
Shalon and Ailil begin questioning each other, then sharing information and finally become pillow friends. (WH,Ch13)
After the explosion, Rand discovers Ailil secretly meeting with Shalon. He leaves them tied up and Shalon shielded. (TPoD,Ch29)
Cadsuane has Ailil and Shalon transported to Lady Arilyn's palace where Bera and Kiruna question them about their activities. (WH,Ch13)
Cadsuane has Verin return Ailil and Shalon to their quarters with assurances that their secret will be kept as long as they provide information. (WH,Ch13)

WH,Ch13 - Ailil dislikes her brother Toram Riatin intensely.
WH,Ch23 - Shalon must hide her relationship with Ailil. Her husband, Mishael, might divorce her for it.
