Merise Haindehl

An Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah. Her Warders are Bassane and Nethan. She is Taraboner.

Physical Description

She has a stern face and wears her dark hair severely drawn back. Despite that her accent identifies her as Taraboner. (WH,Ch13) She is tall and more than handsome with blue eyes. (WH,Ch23) She is a tall woman with dark hair and an ivory face. She wears dark green and a silver comb in her hair. (KoD,Ch23)

Chronology

• Merise bonds Jahar Narishma as her Warder. (WH,Ch25)
• When Alanna collapses, Merise sends Jahar to Cadsuane, then brings Alanna to her room and tries to Heal her. (WH,Ch13)
• Corele, Daigian, Merise, Kumira, Damer, Eben and Jahar accompany Cadsuane as she Travels from the Sun Palace to Far Madding. (WH,Ch23)
• Cadsuane leaves Merise in charge of the others when she, Verin and Kumira go to meet with the Counsels in the Hall of the Counsels. (WH,Ch24)
• When Rand and Lan are imprisoned, Cadsuane and her party, including Corele, Daigian, Kumira and Merise, go to the Hall of the Counsels where Cadsuane bullies them into releasing Rand and Lan. (WH,Ch34)
• Corele, Daigian, Kumira and Merise accompany Rand, Cadsuane and the others from Far Madding to Shadar Logoth. Merise, Jahar and Elza link and stay at the top of the hill. With Cadsuane directing them, they use Callandor to drive off the Forsaken. (WH,Ch35)
• Corele, Daigian, Merise, Beldeine, Elza, Erian, Nesune, Sarene and Verin accompany Cadsuane and Rand to the Pendaloan estate in eastern Tear to recuperate. (CoT,Ch23)
• Merise is shocked when Rand asks her to consider unbonding Jahar. (CoT,Ch23)
• Beldeine considers an Asha'man as a Warder. Merise counsels her to talk with Daigian about the consequences. (CoT,Ch23)
• Per Rand's request, Merise, Jahar Narishma, Bassane and Nethan visit the Salidar Aes Sedai camp with an offer that they may bond forty-seven Asha'man. Narishma detects saidin in use. (KoD,Ch23)
• Merise and Narishma accompany Rand to his meeting with the Daughter of the Nine Moons. Merise waits a few miles away with the Saldaeans and most of the others while Narishma is one of the six who accompany Rand to Lady Deirdru's manor. Afterwards, Merise Heals Narishma's injuries. (KoD,Ch27)
