[Merana|Merana Ambrey] is there and [Rand|Rand alThor] has her warded off as a demonstration for the clan chiefs. She also serves them tea. She came with [Sorilea] early this morning to offer to help any way she can. He always feels [Alanna|Alanna Mosvani] who also told him he needed the [Aes Sedai]'s help. [Dashiva|OsanGar] and [Narishma|Jahar Narishma] are there, too. [Dashiva|OsanGar] acts as though he is hearing voices. They are discussing what to do about the [Shaido] who cannot be killed or made %%ot [gai'shain|Aiel]%%. [Timolan]'s [Miagoma] are already near [Kinslayer's Dagger|Kinslayers Dagger]. [Indirian] reports that [Sarinde], a [Wise One|Aiel] from [Red Springs] Hold, clan hold of the [Codarra], says the [Wise Ones|Aiel] will run with the %%ot [algai'd'siswai]%% to fight the [Shaido] [Wise Ones|Aiel]. [Mandelain] has two wives, [Corehuin] and [Jair], like [Bael] and [Rhuarc]. The other clan chiefs have one wife except [Timolan] who is widowed. [Rand|Rand alThor] thinks of a quote from the [Karaethon Prophecy|Karaethon Prophecies]:

* "As the plow breaks the earth shall he break the lives of men, and all that was shall be consumed in the fire of his eyes. The trumpets of war shall sound at his footsteps, the ravens feed at his voice, and he shall wear a crown of swords."

The clan chiefs leave. [Dashiva|OsanGar] tilts his head, bird-like, talking to [Rand|Rand alThor].

[Riallin], one of the [Maidens|Maidens of the Spear] standing guard at the door, comes in and says that [Berelain|Berelain sur Paendrag] and [Annoura|Annoura Larisen] want an audience. [Berelain|Berelain sur Paendrag] is mad because [Rand|Rand alThor] sent her a letter sending her back to [Mayene]. [Lews Therin|Lews Therin Telamon] hums and thumbs his earlobe when he sees pretty women. [Rand|Rand alThor] sent the letter because she makes him nervous; she is too pretty. She returned from the [Sea Folk] this morning and was attacked. [Rand|Rand alThor] thinks it was a [Colavaere|Colavaere Saighan] supporter. [Dobraine|Dobraine Taborwin] told him people would pay to have both [Berelain|Berelain sur Paendrag] and [Faile|Zarine Bashere] killed. He has other plans for [Faile|Zarine Bashere].[1] Lord Captain [Gallenne|Bertain Gallenne] is head of all the [Winged Guards|Mayene]. [Rand|Rand alThor] will replace her with [Dobraine|Dobraine Taborwin] until [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] returns. [Berelain|Berelain sur Paendrag] reports that [Wavemistress|Sea Folk] [Harine|Harine din Togara Two Winds] is mad at being ignored. [Rand|Rand alThor] is crucial in [Sea Folk] prophecies but they will not say how. [Rand|Rand alThor] sees more swirling colors. [Lews Therin|Lews Therin Telamon] is a real letch.

[Riallin|riallin] announces [Cadsuane Melaidhrin] as she enters the chamber. [Merana|Merana Ambrey] yells for her not to harm [Rand|Rand alThor]. [Cadsuane|Cadsuane Melaidhrin] says she has been growing roses in northern [Ghealdan]. [Annoura|Annoura Larisen] thought she was dead. [Cadsuane|Cadsuane Melaidhrin] dismisses [Berelain|Berelain sur Paendrag]. She is [Green Ajah], but has faced more men who can [channel|True Source] than any four [Reds|Red Ajah]. She did not hunt them; she just seems to have a nose. She asks if he is hearing voices yet. [Lews Therin|Lews Therin Telamon] is listening. She says voices are part of the taint madness.[2] [Dashiva|OsanGar] gives raucous laugh.[3] [Lews Therin|Lews Therin Telamon] is gone.[4] [Cadsuane|Cadsuane Melaidhrin] asks if she can consult with [Annoura|Annoura Larisen] and [Merana|Merana Ambrey] and they all leave. [Rand|Rand alThor] wonders if [Lews Therin|Lews Therin Telamon] is real or if he is going mad. He has lots of memories from [Lews Therin|Lews Therin Telamon].

[Riallin] brings in [Idrien Tarsin] with news that [Herid Fel] was killed.
