During the [Shadow War], two [giant statues|Choedan Kal] %%ot [sa'angreal|Angreal]%%, one attuned to %%ot [saidin|Said]%% and one to %%ot [saidar|Said]%%, were constructed. They were to be used to destroy the [Shadow|Creator]'s forces and erect a barrier around [Shayol Ghul] until there was a safe method to permanently seal the [Bore|Creator]. The great %%ot [sa'angreal|Angreal]%% were so powerful that using them required special control ''%%ot [ter'angreal|Angreal]%%'' which were assembled in an area far removed. The control statues were lost and the [giant statues|Choedan Kal] were never used ([SaSG|The Strike at Shayol Ghul]).

[Rand] found one each of the male and female control %%ot [ter'angreal|Angreal]%% in [Rhuidean] and he now has them hidden in the [Sun Palace] in [Cairhien|Cairhien (Country)]. A second female statue that is broken lies in the museum in the [Panarchs Palace] in [Tanchico].
