Since the arrival of the [Prophet|Masema Dagar] and his [Dragonsworn], Ghealdan has had rapid turnover of rulers.

* King [Johanin] dies in a hunting accident after he fails to take the [Prophet|Masema Dagar] seriously. ([TFoH,Ch39])
* Queen [Ellizelle] dies of poison shortly succeeding King [Johanin]. ([TFoH,Ch39])
* Queen [Teresia] succeeds Queen [Ellizelle] and abdicates after only ten days by marrying a commoner merchant, [Beron Goraed]. ([TFoH,Ch39])

The current ruler, Queen [Alliandre|Alliandre Maritha Kigarin], remains in power at the sufferance of the [Prophet|Masema Dagar]. She is the fourth monarch in the last half year. ([TFoH,Ch39])
