As the %%ot [shatayan|Shienar]%%[1] escorts [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred], she sees [Ryne|Ryne Venamar] and [Bukama|Bukama Marenellin] fight using practice swords; [Ryne|Ryne Venamar] wins easily. [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] has an audience with Prince [Brys|Brys (Kandor)] and other nobles. She believes that there are so many sisters around because of the rumors of a man who can [channel|True Source] and to tie up loose ends from the [Aiel War].[2] His oldest son [Antol|antol] is with [Ethenielle|Ethenielle Cosaru Noramaga] in the south; daughter [Jarene] and son [Diryk] are there with the rest of their children. To her chagrin, [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] learns that [Lan|al'Lan Mandragoran] really would have been king of [Malkier]. 

Claiming fatigue, [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] asks leave and a maid [Elis|elis] takes her to her rooms. They round a corner and run into %%blue [Merean|Merean Redhill]%% with the %%ot [shatayan|Shienar]%%. She lets out that [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] is [Aes Sedai] and says that %%gray [Larelle|Larelle Tarsi]%% decided to go south.[3] [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] thinks [Cadsuane|Cadsuane Melaidhrin] is [Black Ajah] and she wonders about [Merean|Merean Redhill] and [Larelle|Larelle Tarsi]. She decides to go see [Lan|al'Lan Mandragoran] after all. Two serving women and an errand boy are in his rooms. [Lan|al'Lan Mandragoran] is practicing the sword. She asks for his help. [Lan|al'Lan Mandragoran] hates [Aes Sedai] because they did not help [Malkier]. In return for his help, [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] explains that a hundred sisters were sent, but they arrived too late. She asks [Lan|al'Lan Mandragoran] to have [Bukama|Bukama Marenellin] follow [Merean Redhill] and he agrees. Back in her apartments she finds that word she is [Aes Sedai] has spread. Lady [Iselle|Iselle Arrel] is there with [Siuan|Siuan Sanche]. She wears a blue %%ot [ki'sain]%%. She wants to go to the [White Tower] to be [Aes Sedai] of the [Green Ajah]. She would not mind [Lan|al'Lan Mandragoran] as her %%ot [carneira]%%, but she does not want to marry yet. She was tested years ago when she was twelve. After she leaves, [Siuan|Siuan Sanche] reports that she learned nothing from [Cal] except that he can kiss. She reminds [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] of kissing [Cormanes] the night she left for the [White Tower]. [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] tells [Siuan|Siuan Sanche] to do anything she can to reach Lady [Ines Demain]. Late that night [Siuan|Siuan Sanche] returns. [Bukama|Bukama Marenellin] reported to her that [Merean|Merean Redhill] spent the whole day with Lord [Brys|Brys (Kandor)]. [Cal] told her that [Rahien|Rahien Demain] was born the day after the [Aiel] began their retreat, the day after [Gitara|Gitara Moroso]'s [Foretelling|Weaves]. They do not understand why [Merean|Merean Redhill], either one of [Tamra|Tamra Ospenya]'s searchers or [Black Ajah], spent time with [Brys|Brys (Kandor)] instead of [Ines|ines].[4] What they do not know could kill the [Dragon Reborn|Rand alThor].
