The sky is covered with clouds that may or may not bring a storm. [Siuan|Siuan Sanche] and [Lelaine|Lelaine Akashi] walk through the camp. There are over a thousand [novices] now. [Lelaine|Lelaine Akashi] asks about the negotiations and [Siuan|Siuan Sanche] says [Elaida|Elaida do Avriny aRoihan] refuses to yield on anything. [Lelaine|Lelaine Akashi] and [Romanda|Romanda Cassin] still jockey for influence but [Lelaine|Lelaine Akashi] seems to be winning. [Lelaine|Lelaine Akashi] thinks it is time to send envoys to the nations and wonders if [Romanda|Romanda Cassin] will argue. [Siuan|Siuan Sanche] manipulates her saying that she saw [Romanda|Romanda Cassin] talking with [Maralenda], a distant cousin to House [Trakand|Andor]. Anything to keep her distracted from trying to steal power from [Egwene|Egwene alVere]. [Lelaine|Lelaine Akashi] offers to pay off [Siuan|Siuan Sanche]'s debt to [Bryne|Gareth Bryne] but [Siuan|Siuan Sanche] declines. 

[Siuan|Siuan Sanche] heads for the army camp thinking that her quest for the [Dragon Reborn|Rand alThor] has consumed her life. [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] died for it. She wonders if she should have switched to [Green|Green Ajah] like [Leane|Leane Sharif]. She reaches [Bryne|Gareth Bryne]'s palisade. It is getting late and she is supposed to meet [Egwene|Egwene alVere] in %%ot [Tel'aran'rhiod|TelAranRhiod]%% at dark. In [Bryne|Gareth Bryne]'s tent, they chide each other a bit, then [Bryne|Gareth Bryne] asks her why she broke her oath. At first she hedges, saying she had to get information and [Logain|Logain Ablar] to [Salidar]. She breaks down and tells him the truth about the [Foretelling|Weaves] of the [Dragon Reborn|Rand alThor] and that [Tamra|Tamra Ospenya] was murdered by the [Black Ajah]. Now [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] is dead, too. [Bryne|Gareth Bryne] tells her she needs to get to bed. He is aware of her meetings with [Egwene|Egwene alVere] every three days. She thinks he is insufferable, but beds down with the [twisted ring].

In %%ot [Tel'aran'rhiod|TelAranRhiod]%% there is a violent but strangely silent storm in the sky. She moves to the [Mistress of Novices|Aes Sedai] study to wait. She wonders if [Leane|Leane Sharif] is alright, knowing how spiteful [Elaida|Elaida do Avriny aRoihan] can be. She still feels sorrow at [Alric]. [Egwene|Egwene alVere] appears and they move to the [novice|novices] dining hall. [Siuan|Siuan Sanche] tells her about [Delana|Delana Mosalaine] and [Halima|AranGar]. [Egwene|Egwene alVere] brings up [Anaiya], murdered with %%ot [saidin|Said]%%, and [Siuan|Siuan Sanche] tells her it was somehow [Halima|AranGar].[1] [Siuan|Siuan Sanche] tells her about the envoy from the [Dragon Reborn|Rand alThor], how some [Asha'man] have bonded sisters, and his offer to let sisters bond [Asha'man]. The bonded sisters were sent by [Elaida|Elaida do Avriny aRoihan] to destroy the [Black Tower]. And that %%ot [saidin|Said]%% is cleansed. [Egwene|Egwene alVere] takes the shocks very well. [Siuan|Siuan Sanche] tells her of [Lelaine|Lelaine Akashi]'s and [Romanda|Romanda Cassin]'s tactics. [Egwene|Egwene alVere] is okay with that as well. They talk of the coming [Last Battle|Creator]. [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] told [Egwene|Egwene alVere] of a room where [One Power] objects are stored. [Siuan|Siuan Sanche] confirms it is a locked storeroom in the basement. [Egwene|Egwene alVere] says they will meet again in two days.

[Siuan|Siuan Sanche] wakes on her cot in [Bryne|Gareth Bryne]'s tent. He sleeps on the other side. She thinks how strange it is that she is falling in love, then goes back to sleep.
