! __Perrin__ POV

[Perrin|Perrin Aybara] sets up camp on an elevated meadow along the [Jehannah Road] near an ancient statue with a blade thrust into the ground.[1] He walks through the camp with [Elyas|Elyas Machera], [Grady|Jur Grady], [Montem al'San] and [Azi al'Thone]. [Perrin|Perrin Aybara] regrets sending [Gill|Basel Gill] and the other ahead but [Elyas|Elyas Machera] chides him for second guessing himself. They pass a guard post with [Hu Barran] and [Darl Coplin]. Last night [Perrin|Perrin Aybara] had to wake [Berin Thane]. He and [Jori Congar] like to drink. [Grady|Jur Grady] and [Neald|Fager Neald] could attack the [Whitecloaks|Children of the Light] to free [Gill|Basel Gill] and the others but [Perrin|Perrin Aybara] remembers the horror of [Dumai's Wells|Dumais Wells]. 

[Grady|Jur Grady] senses something and they walk to the [Wise Ones|Aiel]' tents. [Neald|Fager Neald] sits with [Edarra] and [Masuri|Masuri Sokawa] and there is a large gateway open. [Neald|Fager Neald] says %%ot [saidar|Said]%% is beautiful. He weaves %%ot [saidin|Said]%% but strengthens the weaves with %%ot [saidar|Said]%%. They will send the scouts to [Cairhien|Cairhien (Country)] soon. [Grady|Jur Grady] wants to return to the [Black Tower] to visit his wife [Sora|Sora Grady] and son [Gadren|Gadren Grady]. He is hopeful since the taint was cleansed. [Tam|Tam alThor] joins them. 

A [Maiden|Maidens of the Spear] runs up with news that a [Whitecloak|Children of the Light] is riding to the camp with a truce flag. It is [Dain Bornhald]. After a couple of nasty remarks, he tells [Perrin|Perrin Aybara] that the Lord Captain Commander wants to meet him. [Perrin|Perrin Aybara] agrees to the meeting and asks for [Grady|Jur Grady], [Gaul], [Sulin] and [Edarra] to come with him. Fortunately, [Faile|Zarine Bashere] has not heard about this. The six of them walk a distance up the road and find a dozen [Whitecloaks|Children of the Light] by a small tent. Their leader is quite handsome and smells better than the others.[2] [Perrin|Perrin Aybara] demands his people back and the leader refuses unless they meet in battle. [Perrin|Perrin Aybara] returns to his camp.

[Galad|Galad Damodred] did not believe [Byar|Jaret Byar]'s insistence that [Perrin|Perrin Aybara] is [Shadowspawn], but he is now not sure. [Bornhald|Dain Bornhald] is relieved, but [Galad|Galad Damodred] was confident that he would not be attacked. His mind is made up now. [Perrin|Perrin Aybara] is dangerous and they must fight.
