Chronology (Possible Spoilers)#

• al'Akir and el'Leanna are king and queen of Malkier. His brother, Lain, campaigns in the Blasted Lands and is killed. His wife, Breyan, dared him, but then blames al'Akir. She plots with Cowin Gemallan Fairheart to take throne for her son Isam. Cowin, a hero of the land is a Darkfriend. Cowin pulls troops from the border and Trollocs invade. Cowin is captured by young Jain Charin Farstrider and then killed in single combat by al'Akir. Breyan flees with Isam and they disappear. el'Leanna gives her baby Lan a locket and a sword and has bodyguards carry him to Fal Moran. al'Akir and el'Leanna are killed at Herot's Crossing. The Trollocs are finally stopped at the Stair of Jehaan, but Malkier is lost. (TEotW,Ch47)
