Nynaeve POV#

Nynaeve, Elayne, Thom, and Juilin are traveling across the Tarabon countryside posing as dye merchants. They left Tanchico weeks ago; their eventual goal is Tar Valon.[1] They have a great deal of valuable jewelry hidden away - gifts from Amathera. Juilin's horse is Skulker. They encounter a column of wagons escorted by Whitecloaks. The Whitecloaks' lieutenant asks for news about Tanchico. Nynaeve tells him that Amathera was still the Panarch and Andric was still the King when they left. She denies having seen or heard of any Aes Sedai. He tells them they are five miles from Amadicia. The Whitecloaks move on. Nynaeve, Elayne, Thom, and Juilin cross the border into Amadicia and soon see Mardecin in the distance. Thom suggests a day's rest and they all concur. Thom and Juilin set about finding a campsite.
