- As the Band of the Red Hand nears Salidar, two of Vanin's scouts, Mar and Ladwin, are captured by Warders. (LoC,Ch38)
- In Salidar, Mar and Ladwin are chagrined at being captured so easily by the Warder. (LoC,Ch40)
- Mar, Ladwin, Verdin and the other bannerman stay with Mat in the stable for the next three days because the inns and houses are full of Aes Sedai. (LoC,Ch44)
