Nynaeve POV#

Galad walks up to Nynaeve, Uno and Ragan insisting on talking to her. He has no fear of the Shienarans. She cannot channel for fear that Moghedien or the Black Ajah will detect her. He is angry that they sneaked away from him at Sienda. She demands to know what he is doing there. He says he was ordered to Salidar, but the Prophet's activities brought him here. Nynaeve finally clicks on the name Salidar. Galad again asks after Egwene.[1] He swears on Morgase's name to help Nynaeve and Elayne find a boat to Altara so they can go to Caemlyn. She minces words so that he thinks she has agreed. He leaves, telling Uno and Ragan to guard her.

They head back to Valan Luca's circus. The men offer to accompany her to find Rand. There are only fifteen Shienarans left. Sar, Mendao and Sakaru were killed. Bartu and Nengar will probably stay with the Prophet. One of them will come out to the circus every day to bring news. Then they leave her. Back at the circus, Muelin, a contortionist, has joined Luca's troop. Her show was destroyed by a mob that thought there was an Aes Sedai among them. Elayne and Birgitte join Nynaeve. Birgitte says that Luca went to look for her with two men with shoulders like s'Gandin quarrymen.[2] Elayne is aghast at her tale, especially Galad. Luca, Thom and Juilin went to Samara looking for her. She is comforted somewhat by the fact that he swore on her mother's name. Nynaeve is just in time for her performance. Birgitte outlines her with arrows leaving her a nervous wreck. She hopes either Galad or the Prophet will find them a boat as fast as possible.
