%%blue [Leane|Leane (Show)]%% reassures [Nynaeve|Nynaeve (Show)] that the [Aes Sedai] know what this one does, which is to bring a novice face-to-face with their greatest fears,
but no novice needs to tell anyone what they experience in the arches.
To put it simply, novices just need to walk into each arch and then back out again.
They then tells [Nynaeve|Nynaeve (Show)] two things that no novice hears until they're in this room:
%%blue [Sheriam|Sheriam (Show)]%%, %%blue [Leane|Leane (Show)]%%, and %%red [Liandrin|Liandrin (Show)]%% stand with [Nynaeve|Nynaeve (Show)] in a chamber at the [White Tower] containing the [Three Arches], a [ter'angreal|Angreal] from before the [Breaking of the World|Breaking]. They then share two rules, kept secret until this moment:

It's a scene of madness. Screaming voices, images of [Nynaeve|Nynaeve (Show)] floating around in space wearing a red dress, with hands over her ears, visions of [Lan|Lan (Show)] speaking the words from scene 8 of [Episode 108] and then [Nynaeve|Nynaeve (Show)] being flung out of the arches with two bloodstains on her shirt. Fragmented images of [Lan|Lan (Show)] appear, reciting words from a past moment (Scene 8 - [Episode 108]). Abruptly, [Nynaeve|Nynaeve (Show)] is flung out of the arch, landing back in the [Three Arches] chamber in the [White Tower] with two bloodstains on her shirt. The [Seanchan|Seanchan (Country)] guards force [Uno|Uno (Show)] to his knees at the base of the palanquin, where a sharp, curved, hornlike object is attached. [Alwhin|Alwhin (Show)] warns that those who do not swear the oaths will have the oaths sworn for them. All of the [Seanchan|Seanchan (Country)] soldiers, in unison, shout "To obey. To wait. As [Egwene|Egwene (Show)] backs toward the ledge, %%red [Liandrin|Liandrin (Show)]%% reminds her of the [Aes Sedai] oaths, which prohibit lying, and admits she sent [Nynaeve|Nynaeve (Show)] to the [Three Arches] because she believed in her, yet [Nynaeve|Nynaeve (Show)] disappointed her. %%red [Liandrin|Liandrin (Show)]%% adds that history is often written not by the most powerful women, but by those who survive, and if [Egwene|Egwene (Show)] minds her place, she might endure. [Rand|Rand (Show)] wears a red coat adorned with golden herons embroidered on the collar, shoulders, and sleeves, reminiscent of the cover art for [A Memory of Light]. [Selene|Selene (Show)] notes that the nobles are curious about them, mentioning that Lady [Dhulaine|Dhulaine (Show)] invited them to dinner next week. She adds that the nobles are playing [Daes Dae'mar|Compleat], seeking to use [Rand|Rand (Show)] in their schemes. [Rand|Rand (Show)] inquires about [Ghealdan] wine, prompting [Selene|Selene (Show)] to search for a bottle. In her absence, Lady [Anvaere|Anvaere (Show)] approaches [Rand|Rand (Show)], warning him against accepting Lady [Dhulaine|Dhulaine (Show)]’s invitation due to hidden motives. When [Anvaere|Anvaere (Show)] presses him for a decision, [Rand|Rand (Show)] tosses the invitation into a nearby fire. [Anvaere|Anvaere (Show)] observes [Rand|Rand (Show)], deducing he’s staying in the [Foregate|Cairhien (City)], and comments on the barbarity of celebrating while the poor starve, their only hope pinned on the [Hunt for the Horn]. [Rand|Rand (Show)] suggests the Queen’s reward makes the hunt worthwhile, but [Anvaere|Anvaere (Show)] reveals there is no reward, and the [Horn] may not even exist. She explains the Queen’s true motive: after the [Aiel War], refugees flooded the [Foregate|Cairhien (City)], causing overcrowding. Unable to expel them without risking revolt, the Queen uses the [Hunt for the Horn] to lure them away—those who die are simply one less mouth for the rich to feed.
