aka: Lady Shiaine Avarhin
A young woman who is also a Darkfriend assassin. Although she masquerades as Lady Shiaine, she is actually a saddler's daughter from a small village near Whitebridge.
Physical Description#
She is about the same age as Nynaeve. She is pretty, in a sharp-featured fashion. (TEotW,Ch33) She is about twenty-two. (ACoS,Ch15)
Chronology (Possible Spoilers)#
- Mili Skane is born circa 977 NE. (ACoS,Ch15)
- At age fifteen, Mili Skane goes to the White Tower, but when she is told she cannot learn to channel she turns Darkfriend. In the next seven years she performs twenty assassinations. (ACoS,Ch15)
- Mili murders Lord Willim Avarhin
and his daughter. She then adopts the daughter's identity. (WH,Ch10)
- Lady Shiaine tries to kill Rand and Mat in a village near Caemlyn. (TEotW,Ch33)
- Shiaine is at the racetrack. Mat spots her and follows her to the Chelsaine Palace. (ACoS,Ch14)
- Shiaine leads a circle and reports to Carridin. She is frozen while Sammael pays a visit. Carridin orders her to kidnap Mat. (ACoS,Ch15)
- On Moridin's orders Shiaine goes to Caemlyn. He gives her Falion and Marillin. Daved Hanlon reports to her. She executes Jaichim Carridin. (TPoD,Ch28, WH,Ch10)
- Shiaine keeps Falion as a servant. She orders Daved Hanlon to get close to Elayne as a guard. She sets Marillin a task in the Royal Palace that requires someone who can channel. (WH,Ch10)
- Shiaine meets with representatives of Houses Sarand and Arawn. The next day she meets another delegate and kills him. She orders Daved Hanlon to increase his efforts to fire the grain warehouses and to see that some of the sul'dam in the Royal Palace escape. (CoT,Ch15)
- Elayne, Vandene, Careane and Sareitha capture Falion, Marillin and Lady Shiaine at the house on Full Moon Street. Asne, Chesmal, Eldrith and Temaile return unexpectedly and Asne stuns the captors with the bent black rod. After Vandene kills Careane, Chesmal kills Vandene and Sareitha. (KoD,Ch31)
- They bundle Elayne into a wagon and head east to the Sunrise Gate and the Erinin Road with Asne's four Warders. When the Windfinders and Birgitte's army cut them off, Asne uses the fluted black rod to balefire them. The Windfinders blast them with lightning. (KoD,Ch32)
- The lightning strike kills Asne and stuns the others who are all captured. The Guardswomen load them into the wagon to take them to the Royal Palace dungeon. (KoD,Ch33)
- Lady Shiaine and the Black Ajah sisters refuse to talk. (KoD,Ch35)
- Elayne disguises herself as a Forsaken and confronts Chesmal in the dungeons. Chesmal speaks of an assassination plan and an invasion. Jaq Lounalt frees the others and breaks in with Temaile and Eldrith. Doilin Mellar, Lady Shiaine, Marillin Gemalphin and Falion Bhoda are also freed. Chesmal, Eldrith, Temaile and Jaq Lounalt are killed. Mellar, Shiaine, Marillin and Falion escape. (ToM,Ch23, ToM,Ch24)
