Rand POV#

Moiraine, Lan, Rand and Mat meet Perrin in the stable. Rand brings his sword, Mat, his bow, and Perrin, his axe. Perrin and Mat left notes for their families. Egwene arrives and demands to accompany them. After some thought, Moiraine agrees. Thom, who was hiding in the rafters, says he is coming, too. He has never performed in Tar Valon. Rand's horse is Cloud. Lan bought him from Jon Thane. Egwene rides Bela. They see a patrol of men led by Jon Thane. The moon is only a thin slice less than full. Rand sees a Draghkar hunting. They take the North Road toward Taren Ferry.
