Perrin POV#

Perrin, Egwene and Elyas head south at a fast pace. The pace even tires Bela. Elyas is extremely cautious, and his caution pays off when they see several flocks of ravens hunting. Elyas says, "They don't know. Even after..."[1] Perrin can feel Elyas call to Dapple to check their rear. Elyas knows of a place nearby and they head for it. They run from the ravens for hours. Perrin feels that Wind and Hopper are injured by the ravens. Elyas seems tireless.[2] Late afternoon they reach an abandoned stedding. Egwene feels a sense of loss.[3] Elyas seems to know a lot about Ogier. They find the remnants of a giant statue near a pool. Elyas says it is Artur Hawkwing. He planned to build a capital city here because Aes Sedai avoid stedding, but he died the day the statue was finished. They make camp for the night.
