Suddenly, a sword impales her heart from the back and [Moiraine] reaches around from behind to slice [Selene]'s throat with a knife and throws her body to the floor. Then she starts cutting the bindings on [Rand]'s wrists and telling him to hurry, as they don't have much time. [Rand], appalled, says "You killed her" and [channel]s, pushing [Moiraine] back against a nearby wall. [Moiraine] denies killing [Selene] because she can't and she can't because [Selene] is [Lanfear], Daughter of the Night and the most dangerous [Forsaken]. [Rand] responses that she's [Selene] and is an innkeeper, but [Moiraine] says she's been lying to [Rand], which [Moiraine] never can. With that, [Rand] stops [channel]ing and lets [Moiraine] go. [Moiraine] says that now they need to run. They grab the weapons and flee out the door.
