[Moiraine] is at the asylum talking to [Celestin] about [Rand] coming there every day, but he hasn't shown up for work today.
[Moiraine] asks [Celestin] if she know where he lives, but [Celestin] responds by asking if he's in some sort of trouble.
[Moiraine] then asks to see [Logain] and [Celestin] grants access.
[Moiraine] visits an asylum in [Cairhien|Cairhien (City)] and asks [Celestin] about [Rand],
noting he hasn’t shown up for work today despite coming every day.
[Celestin] asks if [Rand] is in trouble but grants [Moiraine] access to see [Logain].
[Logain] recognizes [Moiraine], saying he should kill her, then acknowledges she wanted him here instead of the [White Tower].
[Moiraine] pours two glasses of [Ghealdanin|Ghealdan] red wine and asks if [Logain] has started training [Rand],
but he assumes she sent [Rand] and refuses to answer, knocking a glass from her hand. She offers [Logain] a knife,
promising it if he helps her, and asks where [Rand] is staying; this time,
[Logain] reveals [Rand] is at the [Crescent Inn] and has as much power as he did but fears and cannot control it.
[Moiraine] instructs [Logain] to teach [Rand] everything about [channelling], promising the knife once she’s satisfied with
[Rand]’s progress, then leaves[10].

[Logain] recognizes her when she enters says he should kill her. He then realizes she's the one who wanted him here instead of the [White Tower].
She takes out the bottle of wine and pours two glasses.
She asks if he's started training [Rand], but he doesn't answer, assuming that she sent [Rand] as well.
She asks him where [Rand] is staying but he refuses to say and knocks a glass of wine from her hand.
She says that she can give him what he really wants, and then produces a knife, saying that if he helps her, she'll give him the knife.
She asks again where [Rand] is staying and this time he tells her that [Rand] is staying at the [Crescent Inn].
He tells her that [Rand] has as much power as he did, but fears it, hates it, so he can't control it.
She tells him to teach [Rand] everything he knows about [channelling] and once she's satisfied with [Rand]'s progress, she'll give him the knife.
She then leaves.
