- Prince Consort Brys and his son Diryk welcome Lan to the Aesdaishar Palace and visit with him for a while. (NS,Ch22)
- When Brys learns that Moiraine Damodred has arrived, he sends his shatayan to summon her to an audience. (NS,Ch24)
- Moiraine has an audience with Prince Consort Brys and his son Diryk. Later, Brys has a lengthy meeting with Merean. (NS,Ch25)
- Merean tricks Iselle into bringing Brys and Diryk to an isolated balcony. Moiraine and Lan arrive but they are too late to prevent her murdering Diryk, Brys and Iselle. (NS,Ch26)
