Encyclopaedia WoT: Guild of Illuminators

The Guild of Illuminators is the organization of people skilled in the production and use of fireworks. The main guild house is located in Tanchico and there is a second chapter house a mile east of Cairhien.

1. TGH,Ch9 - There are plenty of Illuminators and gleemen in Illian for the calling of the Great Hunt of the Horn.
2. TGH,Ch25 - Cairhien often has fireworks displays because of the nearby Illuminator chapter house.
3. TGH,Ch27 - Rand and Loial accidentally burn down the chapter house near Cairhien.
4. TGH,Ch30 - Days later, the incident at the Illuminator's chapter house is still the talk of the city.

2. TDR,Ch40 - Aludra was expelled from the Illuminator's Guild for the debacle in Cairhien. She continued to make fireworks, nevertheless, and is now under death sentence.

1. TSR,Ch11 - Egwene finds the Illuminator's chapter house on a map of Tanchico.
In The Fires of Heaven
1. TFoH,Ch17 - Aludra, an ex-Illuminator, joins Valan Luca's circus.

1. LoC,Ch9 - Fleeing Tarabon, a band of Illuminators request permission to open a chapter house in Amador. Pedron Niall refuses them.

1. ACoS,Ch17 - Caira reports to Mat that an Illuminator is looking for him. Mat, himself, is also looking for an Illuminator.
2. ACoS,Ch21 - Mat sees fireworks and remembers that Nalesean Aldiaya mentioned an Illuminator this morning. He is still looking for one.
In The Path of Daggers
1. TPoD,Ch1 - There is a refugee Illuminator in Ebou Dar planning a display for the Feast of Embers.
2. TPoD,Ch6 - Seanchan (People) damane make displays called Sky Lights similar to Illuminators' displays.
In Winter's Heart
1. WH,Ch15 - When the Seanchan (People) take over Tanchico, the Illuminators resist. The Seanchan (People) destroy the Guild House and take the residents as da'covale.
2. WH,Ch15 - Illuminators' displays are just a few sparks compared to damane Sky Lights.
In Crossroads of Twilight
1. CoT,Ch20 - Egwene dreams of Mat destroying thousands of people. An Illuminator is involved.
In Knife of Dreams
1. KoD,Ch8 - Aludra wants to make weapons for Mat to use against the Seanchan (People) in revenge for them destroying the Illuminators.
