- Led by Efalin, Manderic and others of Sevanna's Shaido capture Faile, Alliandre, Maighdin, Arrela, Lacile, Bain and Chiad and make them gai'shain. (TPoD,Ch30)
- Manderic leads Chiad back to the Shaido camp. He carries her after she develops frostbite. (WH,Ch3)
- Therava and Someryn dismiss Manderic and the others when they come to inspect the new gai'shain. (WH,Ch4)
- In the battle at Malden, Gaul kills Manderic thus taking Chiad as gai'shain. (TGS,Ch21)
