Physical Description#
He is a tall, broad-shouldered man with two golden knots on the left shoulder of his red coat stood in the rain watching them, helmet balanced on his hip. His hair hung every which way over his face, clinging wetly, but she could see he was young, well short of his middle years. Light, he was little short of beautiful! His greenish hazel eyes were tired, but his face seemed suited to smiling. He looked as if he had not smiled in too long. (KoD,Ch13)
Chronology (Possible Spoilers)#
- Lieutenant Charlz Guybon leaves Aringill and heads for Caemlyn. Along the way he recruits soldiers and has nearly ten thousand when Zigane finds him and brings him to Caemlyn. Elayne promotes him to Captain and Birgitte makes him her second. (KoD,Ch13)
- When Elayne is kidnapped, Captain Guybon leads his men through a gateway to the Erinin Road to rescue her. Despite balefire he bravely leads the charge toward the Black Ajah sisters. (KoD,Ch32)
- Captain Guybon leads his troops through another gateway to trap Arymilla's forces at the Far Madding Gate. (KoD,Ch33)
- Guybon escorts Mat, Thom and Talmanes through the city to meet Elayne. (ToM,Ch19)
- Guybon observes from a distance while Mat sets his trap to get rid of the gholam. (ToM,Ch31)
- Guybon brings in the prisoners Arymilla, Elenia and Naean when Elayne holds court. (ToM,Ch50)
- Guybon defends the Royal Palace in the Trolloc invasion of Caemlyn. When Talmanes and the Band arrive, he agrees to help them save the dragons, abandoning the city. (AMoL,Prologue)
