Physical Description#
He is just short of his middle years. He has a sharp nose, a sneering mouth and a Taraboner accent. (LoC,Ch42) He is near his middle years and tall with a sharp nose. (TPoD,Ch14)
Chronology (Possible Spoilers)#
- When Rand arrives at the Black Tower, Torval challenges him, then Taim clubs Torval. Taim then orders Kisman and Rochaid to drag him off. (LoC,Ch42)
- Torval is the only full Asha'man that Rand recognizes at Dumai's Wells. (LoC,Ch55)
- At Dumai's Wells, Taim suggests Torval over Dashiva to accompany Rand. Taim calls specifically for Gedwyn, Rochaid, Torval and Kisman when he prepares to return to the Black Tower. (ACoS,Ch2)
- Torval arrives at Rand's camp in Illian with a report from Taim. When Rand says he will cleanse saidin, Torval, Narishma, Morr and Hopwil look at him with wonderment and hope. Dashiva looks poleaxed. Rand sends him back with more orders for Taim. (TPoD,Ch14)
- Gedwyn and Torval arrive in Far Madding and rent the top floor of Zeram's house. (WH,Ch32)
- Fain is waiting for them when they return to the house. He kills them with the ruby dagger. (WH,Ch33)
