The next morning soldiers ride out from Fal Dara to join King Easar from Fal Moran and forces from other fortresses, Ankor Dail, Mos Shirare, Fal Sion and Camron Caan, to ride to Tarwin's Gap. Ingtar rides with Moiraine and the others to the Shienaran border. He tells Lan, Suravye ninto manshima taishite" ("Peace favor your sword"). As Moiraine, Lan, Rand, Mat, Perrin, Nynaeve, Egwene and Loial ride into the Blight the weather becomes warm and humid and feels wrong to Nynaeve and Rand. Loial dislikes the heat as Stedding Shangtai is in the mountains. Lan warns them of dangerous flora and fauna such as the Stick. The Green Man has always been found beyond the high passes of the Mountains of Dhoom. They make camp by the Seven Towers so they will reach the mountains in broad daylight. While Lan and the boys hobble Mandarb, Aldieb, Bela and the other horses, Moiraine sets an invisibility ward.[1] Rand cannot sleep and overhears Nynaeve and Lan have a heart to heart talk. Lan states "I will hate the man you choose because he is not me, and love him if he makes you smile. No woman deserves the sure knowledge of widow’s black as her brideprice, you least of all."
