Chronology (Possible Spoilers)#

• Four years ago, Hurin notices that he can smell violence and goes to work for Lord Agelmar as a sniffer. (TGH,Ch9)
• A Brown Ajah sister keeps Hurin in Cairhien for a month trying to figure out how his talent works. (TGH,Ch9)
• Hurin joins Ingtar's party in the hunt for the Horn tracking the Darkfriends and Trollocs by smell. (TGH,Ch9)
• Hurin leads Rand, Mat, Perrin, Loial and the Shienarans south. (TGH,Ch10)
• Hurin, Rand and Loial bed down by the Portal Stone. (TGH,Ch11)
• Rand, Loial and Hurin wake up in a different world. Hurin can still smell the trail faintly so they continue to follow it. (TGH,Ch13)
• Rand, Loial and Hurin continue south. Hurin notes many trails of violence. (TGH,Ch15)
• Rand, Loial and Hurin reach the monument, but find a monument to a Shadow victory. They meet Selene. (TGH,Ch16)
• Threatened by more grolm, Selene leads them to another Portal Stone and Rand channels them back to the real world. (TGH,Ch17)
• When the Darkfriends arrive, Rand and Loial steal back the Horn and the ruby dagger. They head south with Hurin and Selene. (TGH,Ch19)
• Rand, Loial, Hurin and Selene ride south to Tremonsien. They pass the giant statue where Rand nearly succumbs to saidin. (TGH,Ch20)
• Rand, Loial, Hurin and Selene stay at The Nine Rings inn where they are questioned by a suspicious Captain Caldevwin. The next morning Selene vanishes and the others head to Cairhien. (TGH,Ch21)
• Rand, Loial and Hurin arrive at Cairhien. (TGH,Ch25)
• Hurin stays at the Defender of the Dragonwall while Rand and Loial go to meet Thom. (TGH,Ch26)
• After their adventure with Trollocs and Illuminators, Loial and Rand rejoin Hurin at the inn. (TGH,Ch27)
• Hurin stays at the inn while Rand and Loial go out. He is attacked and knocked out by the Darkfriends who steal the Horn. He is rescued by Rand and Loial. (TGH,Ch30)
• Verin Heals Hurin. After he recovers, he traces the Horn to Lord Barthanes' manor and reports back. (TGH,Ch31)
• He accompanies Rand to Barthanes's party and traces the Darkfriends to the garden. (TGH,Ch32)
• Rand, Loial and Hurin find the Waygate that Fain and the Darkfriends used, but it is blocked by Machin Shin. They collect Mat, Verin, Ingtar and Uno and return to the inn where they decide to try Stedding Tsofu. (TGH,Ch33)
• Rand, Mat, Perrin, Loial, Verin, Hurin, Ingtar and the Shienarans travel to Stedding Tsofu. They are met by Erith and encounter three Maidens. (TGH,Ch35)
• Rand, Mat, Perrin, Verin, Hurin and Ingtar meet with the council of Elders. They rejoin the others and go to the Waygate, but it is also blocked by Machin Shin. (TGH,Ch36)
• The party goes to the Portal Stone. Rand channels, bringing them to Toman Head, but four months are lost. (TGH,Ch37)
• Hurin leads as party ride across Toman Head searching for Fain's trail. They stop at a village for the night. (TGH,Ch41)
• Hurin, Mat and Perrin find Fain's trail and follow it to Falme. Back in the camp, it is decided that Ingtar will lead Rand, Mat, Perrin and Hurin into Falme. (TGH,Ch44)
• Ingtar, Rand, Mat, Perrin and Hurin recover the Horn of Valere and the ruby dagger. (TGH,Ch45)
• Rand joins Mat, Perrin and Hurin while Ingtar stays behind to give them time to escape. (TGH,Ch46)
• Rand, Mat, Perrin and Hurin are trapped between the Seanchan (People) and the Whitecloaks. Mat blows the Horn of Valere. Hurin stays with them to fight. (TGH,Ch47)
• Hurin goes with Verin, Egwene, Nynaeve and Elayne to take Mat, the Horn and the ruby dagger to Tar Valon. (TGH,Ch49)
• Hurin and Mat spend much of the trip gambling. (TDR,Ch28)
• Hurin rides to Tar Valon with Verin and the others. (TDR,Ch10)
• Hurin bids farewell and heads back to Shienar saying he must report what really happened at Falme to Lord Agelmar and King Easar. (TDR,Ch11)
• Hurin rides south with King Easar and the Shienaran army when the Borderlands forces go to seek out Rand. (TGS,Ch44)
• The Borderlands army sends Hurin to meet with Rand and convey the message that they want to meet him in Far Madding. (TGS,Ch44)
• After his meeting with the Borderlands, Rand requests that they send for Hurin so he can apologize. (ToM,Ch51)
