• While Geofram Bornhald questions Perrin and Egwene, Jaret Byar enters and reports on casualties. He is upset that Geofram Bornhald is treating them so leniently. (TEotW,Ch30)
• Jaret comes into the tent where Perrin and Egwene are being held. He suggests that they might be able to escape. Lan then bursts in, there is a brief fight, and Jaret is knocked out. (TEotW,Ch38)
• Geofram Bornhald orders Byar to lead the Whitecloak legion into Alcruna. (TGH,Ch5)
• Geofram Bornhald leads Jaret Byar and a hundred Whitecloaks through Almoth Plain near Toman Head. (TGH,Ch29)
• Geofram Bornhald tells Byar that he spotted Perrin in a Toman Head village. (TGH,Ch44)
• Geofram Bornhald orders Byar to stay back and report what he sees as the Whitecloaks approach Falme. He is ordered to report to Dain Bornhald and Pedron Niall. (TGH,Ch46)
• Jaret Byar witnesses the slaughter of the Whitecloaks and heads for Amador. (TGH,Ch48)
• Byar reports to Pedron Niall that Aes Sedai aided the Darkfriend Seanchan (People) and that Perrin betrayed the Whitecloaks. He leaves for Tar Valon. (TDR,Prologue)
• Byar travels to Tar Valon and reports to Dain Bornhald that his father is dead. (TDR,Ch10)
• Byar is Dain Bornhald's second in command for the expedition to the Two Rivers. (TSR,Ch1)
• Byar wants to put the prisoners to the question, but Dain will not let him. (TSR,Ch31)
• Dain Bornhald and Jaret Byar lead a force of Whitecloaks to Emond's Field. There is a confrontation, but Perrin agrees to let them stay in the town if they agree not to bother anyone. (TSR,Ch45)
• Dain Bornhald, Jaret Byar and other Whitecloaks bring a dying man into Emond's Field. (TSR,Ch53)
• Dain Bornhald and Jaret Byar refuse to have the Whitecloaks fight for Emond's Field so Perrin orders them to leave the Two Rivers. (TSR,Ch56)
• Backed by Trom, Dain Bornhald and Jaret Byar, Galad confronts Eamon Valda on his assault of Morgase. In a duel Galad kills Valda and assumes the title Lord Captain Commander. (KoD,Prologue)
• Dain Bornhald, Jaret Byar and Trom accompany Galad as the Whitecloak army slogs through the swamp. (ToM,Prologue)
• Trom, Bornhald and Byar free Galad after the Lords Captain execute Asunawa. (ToM,Ch2)
• Byar returns to Galad from scouting with news that they captured prisoners. Bornhald soon determines that they were with Perrin who killed his father. (ToM,Ch4)
• Byar and Bornhald insist the Perrin is a Darkfriend who killed Geofram Bornhald and brought Trollocs to the Two Rivers. (ToM,Ch7)
• Dain Bornhald and Byar set up a meeting between Perrin and Galad. (ToM,Ch10)
• Perrin and Galad meet in parley with Dain Bornhald and Byar. They accuse him of killing two Whitecloaks and Geofram Bornhald. (ToM,Ch26)
• Byar brings word to Galad that Perrin has requested a delay to his trial due to the bubble of evil. (ToM,Ch29)
• Byar and Dain Bornhald testify at Perrin's trial. Perrin admits to killing the two Whitecloaks but says he fought on the same side as Geofram Bornhald. Byar vehemently objects when Galad agrees to delay Perrin's punishment until after the Last Battle. (ToM,Ch34)
• Byar and Dain Bornhald are still upset when Galad orders them to strike camp and march to Lugard. (ToM,Ch35)
• Byar accuses Galad of destroying the Whitecloaks when Perrin's army appears. (ToM,Ch40)
• When victory over the Shadowspawn seems certain, Byar attacks Perrin from behind but Dain Bornhald kills him. (ToM,Ch41)
