Two redstone doorways that seem to be twisted in a way that is hard for the eye to follow. They are ter'angreal. One leads to the land of the Aelfinn and the other leads to the land of the Eelfinn. The doorway to the Aelfinn has three sinuous lines on each side while the doorway to the Eelfinn has three lines of downward pointing triangles.

    1. TSR,Ch6 - Moiraine tells Egwene, Elayne and Nynaeve about the twisted red doorway in the Great Hold of the Stone of Tear. Three true answers may be gained by stepping through the doorway. One may only use it once. There are dangers. Frivolous questions are punished. Questions relating to the Shadow may result in madness or death. Aes Sedai studied the twisted red doorway for years when it was owned by Mayene. Three hundred years ago Halvar, the First of Mayene traded it to Tear and it was entombed in the Great Holding of the Stone of Tear.
    2. TSR,Ch8 - Egwene tells Mat about the twisted red doorway.
    3. TSR,Ch9 - Mat visits the Great Holding, but changes his mind about using the twisted red doorway.
    4. TSR,Ch13 - Mat continues to think about the twisted red doorway.
    5. TSR,Ch15 - Mat, Rand and Moiraine all use the twisted red doorway to visit the land of the Aelfinn to get some answers. The doorway has three sinuous lines carved deep into each side.

    3. TFoH,Ch23 - Moiraine and Lan ride beside the wagon containing the twisted red doorway.
    4. TFoH,Ch42 - Rand is sure that Mat gained his military knowledge from the twisted red doorway.
    5. TFoH,Ch46 - Moiraine is preoccupied with the twisted red doorway when Rand and his party make their entrance into Cairhien.

    1. ToM,Ch54 - After entering the Tower of Ghenjei, Mat finds the original room where he entered the realm of the Eelfinn. All that remains of the twisted red doorway is a black lump of slag.
    2. ToM,Ch55 - After finding Moiraine, Mat and the others make their way to the original room where Mat entered the realm of the Aelfinn. The twisted red doorway is shattered with nothing but chunks of red rock rubble left.
