- Dain Bornhald leads two other Whitecloaks in Baerlon when Mat splashes them with mud. He confronts Rand. (TEotW,Ch15)
- Dain Bornhald and four other Whitecloaks confront Moiraine and the rest of the party and try to prevent them from leaving Baerlon. (TEotW,Ch17)
- Dain arrives in Caemlyn before his father leaves and joins up with Eamon Valda in following Elayne to Tar Valon. (TGH,Ch5)
- Jaret Byar reports to Dain that his father was killed at Falme. (TDR,Ch10)
