Chronology (Possible Spoilers)#

• Moiraine is sent to Merean for punishment for jumping her horse Arrow. (NS,Ch4)
• Merean tells Moiraine and Siuan that their time is near, so they practice diligently for the test for the shawl. (NS,Ch3)
• Merean informs Moiraine of the deaths of her uncle and instructs her to remain in the White Tower for mourning. (NS,Ch5)
• Merean assigns Moiraine to rewrite the lists of census names and Siuan to help her. (NS,Ch6)
• Merean reprimands Elaida for helping Moiraine and Siuan too much in their practice. (NS,Ch8)
• Merean summons Moiraine to her test. (NS,Ch8)
• Merean leads her to the basement of the White Tower and the oval ring for the test. (NS,Ch9)
• Merean welcomes Moiraine back when she successfully completes the test. She then goes to fetch Siuan for her test. (NS,Ch10)
• Larelle and Merean arrive at The Gates of Heaven where Moiraine is staying. They do not expose her as Aes Sedai, but Cadsuane orders them to accompany her to Chachin. (NS,Ch17)
• Larelle, Merean and Cadsuane wear their shawls in the common room of The Gates of Heaven. (NS,Ch18)
• Merean arrives at the Aesdaishar Palace. She sees Moiraine, then spends most of the day with Prince Consort Brys. (NS,Ch25)
• Merean has Ryne assassinate Bukama. She tricks Iselle into bringing Brys and Diryk to an isolated balcony. Moiraine and Lan arrive but they are too late to prevent her murdering Diryk, Brys and Iselle. She knocks out Moiraine, but Moiraine revives enough to stab her in the back killing her. (NS,Ch26)
