Lord of Fal Dara. His sign is three running red foxes. He is one of the great generals of the Westlands.
Physical Description#
He has a hard face with lines only at the corners of his eyes. His eyes are like brown stone. He wears a topknot of pure white. (TEotW,Ch46) He is square-faced with a white topknot, a larger version of King Easar. (TPoD,Prologue)

- Lord Agelmar tells the Emond's Field folks the story of Malkier. (TEotW,Ch47)
- Agelmar told Lan that the activity of the Blight is increasing. (TEotW,Ch49)
- Moiraine tells Agelmar the Green Man is dead and the Eye of the World is gone. She shows him the Horn of Valere and asks him for an escort to carry it to Illian. (TEotW,Ch53)
- Lord Agelmar and Ronan greet Siuan in the Fal Dara courtyard. (TGH,Ch2)

- Agelmar notes that Tenobia has become more rash since her uncle married Queen Ethenielle. He and Lan talk about the fight at the Gap and Agelmar says that when they cannot hold anymore, then they will retreat, which Lan does not like. They argue about this with Agelmar finally calling Lan selfish, noble and stupid. He also says that they have an exceptional force, but the number of Trollocs is far greater than they anticipated. - Agelmar says that the Dreadlords will cut through them easily. Lan knows that the Gap is now lost and tells Agelmar to retreat. Agelmar yells for the retreat and has the archers come forward to target the Dreadlords and cover the soldiers. (AMoL,Ch10)
