Before The Two Rivers#

Two Rivers#

• Moiraine and Lan arrive in the Two Rivers and take a room at the Winespring Inn (Episode 101)
• Moiraine and Lan take a bath. (Episode 101)
• Moiraine and Lan walk through the village. Lan thinks that a Fade is already here. (Episode 101)
• Lan, scouting around, finds fourteen slaughtered sheep arranged in a pattern. (Episode 101)
• Lan tells Moiraine about the Fade and dozens of Trollocs nearby. He tells her that they need to leave now. (Episode 101)
• Moiraine attacks the Trollocs with the One Power as Lan protects her. (Episode 101)
• Lan and the others ride off together out of the Two Rivers. (Episode 101)

Journey to Tar Valon#

• Master Hightower ferries Moiraine, Lan, Rand, Perrin, Mat and Egwene across the Taren River. Lan then cuts the ferry's rope. (Episode 102)
• Lan, Moiraine, Rand, Mat, Perrin and Egwene enter Shadar Logoth. (Episode 102)
• Lan carries Moiraine onto a horse with him, and then leads the remaining horse outside of Shadar Logoth. Lan puts Moiraine on the ground and is tending to her when Nynaeve comes up from behind him, puts a (cleaned up) Trolloc blade against his throat and demands that he leads them to the others. (Episode 102)
• Lan subdues Nynaeve after she tries to kill him. (Episode 103)
• Nynaeve eventually convinces Lan to release her so that she can help Moiraine. (Episode 103)
• Lan leaves Nynaeve to find help for Moiraine. (Episode 103)
• Lan, Moiraine and Nynaeve meet up with the Logain caravan as it moves east towards Tar Valon. (Episode 103)
• Lan and Stepin are practicing with their weapons. Lan asks about the White Tower. Stepin mentions that the Amyrlin Seat is still annoyed with Moiraine. Looking over at Nynaeve, Stepin questions Lan's choice in traveling companions. Lan corrects him, saying that she's barely company. (Episode 104)
• Lan comes up and asks if he can join Liandrin and Nynaeve. Nynaeve tells Lan that Liandrin is a snake. She asks Lan if the White Tower is full of women like that, to which Lan replies that she'll have a chance to find out. He reminds her that Moiraine and he promised to help find their friends when they got to the White Tower. Lan leaves, but as he's walking away, he invites her to the Warder's fire, as long as she doesn't shove anyone into it. (Episode 104)
• Lan, Stepin, Ihvon, Maksim and Nynaeve are sitting around a campfire. Eventually, he says he's feeling tired and leaves the fire. (Episode 104)
• Lan enters Moiraine's tent, where she is sitting on the bed. Lan, remarking on Logain, says that he's at least ten years too old. She thinks that the Dark One doesn't know who the Dragon Reborn is either, which bothers Lan. She holds Lan's hand and he remarks that she always gets emotional after he drinks. (Episode 104)
• At the Aes Sedai camp, Lan is wandering away from camp and Nynaeve decides to follow him. (Episode 104)
• Lan explains to Nynaeve that he just finished a Malkieri ritual: seven times for the seven towers of Malkier. Nynaeve kneels down, kisses her hand and then touches her hand to the ground and says a prayer in the Old Tongue. Lan translates it for her. (Episode 104)
• During the battle with Logain's army, Stepin, Lan and Nynaeve head towards the cave. (Episode 104)
• Logain turns Stepin's axes into shrapnel and hurls them back at everyone. Everyone except Nynaeve is hurt or dying. Lan is bleeding badly from a neck injury. Nynaeve runs over and kneels by him. She yells "No!" and Heals everyone who was injured. The healing generates a blazing ball of light visible to everyone. (Episode 104)
• Lan places the King of Ghealdan in a grave, along with his helmet. (Episode 105)

Tar Valon#

• Moiraine and Lan talk about what it's like to be back at the White Tower. Lan tells her that Nynaeve is worried about Stepin. (Episode 105)
• Moiraine, Lan and Nynaeve enter the Warder' quarters in the White Tower. (Episode 105)
• Lan walks into the room with Stepin and other Warder. Lan mentions that Alanna is willing to bond him, but Stepin replies that Lan should wait until something similar happens to him before giving advice. (Episode 105)
• Lan enters Moiraine's room where Moiraine is sitting in a chair. He kneels next to her and puts his arm atop her arm. They both stare at each other in silent conversation. (Episode 105)
• Lan tells about the Forsaken selling their souls to the Dark One for eternal life, and that the last Dragon sealed them away. Lan tells Stepin that he'll stay with him until morning. (Episode 105)
• Stepin pours Lan a cup of tea. Stepin and Lan are discussing whether or not Stepin will accept Alanna's offer of bonding. They move on to talking about Nynaeve. Lan wakes up in the morning with the tea cup still in his hand, empty. Stepin is not in the room. Lan sees the empty envelope that Nynaeve gave Stepin and then sees that a dagger is missing from a display. He races out of the room to find Stepin. He finds Stepin in a hallway, dead from a self-inflicted stab wound using the missing dagger. (Episode 105)
• The lead Warder calls on Lan to lay his hand on Stepin's body and to relieve all the Warder of their grief. Lan kneels down and places his left hand on Stepin's body. The Warder start to pound their right hands on their chests. Lan looks at Moiraine and then starts to pound his chest with his right hand. Lan, and Lan alone, starts yelling in grief. (Episode 105)
• Lan and Moiraine leave for the inn. Moiraine asks Lan how bad Mat is, and he responds that Mat is worse than expected. They are escorted to the room by the innkeeper, Basel Gill. (Episode 106)
• Moiraine and Lan enter Rand and Mat's room. Moiraine starts towards Mat and Rand draws his sword, which causes Lan to get between the two. Lan disarms Rand shortly thereafter. Lan and Rand hold Mat down as Moiraine channels. The dagger finally drops to the ground and Lan covers it with cloth, then picks it up. (Episode 106)
• It's sunset, and Moiraine is in front of a mirror in her room, preparing herself, when Lan enters. He states that she has masked their bond, which prevents him from properly protecting her. She bids him goodnight and he tells her that he'll guard her door until she returns. (Episode 106)
• Moiraine and Lan are walking through the Tower, talking about Rand and Mat, when Liandrin intercepts them. (Episode 106)
• Moiraine and Lan meet with Loial in the Tower. (Episode 106)
• Lan brings Nynaeve into the Hall of the Tower. (Episode 106)
• Moiraine is standing in an open area high inside the Tower. Lan comes out and tells her it's time (to see the Amyrlin) and that he'll go with her inside the Hall. She declines, asking him instead to make sure "they are there." (Episode 106)
• Lan and the others, except for Mat, go through the Waygate. (Episode 106)

The Ways and Fal Dara#

• In the Ways, Moiraine and Lan discuss the consequences of the Dragon Reborn being Mat. (Episode 107)
• Lan tells Moiraine that something is following them in the Ways. (Episode 107)
• All are asleep, except for Lan. After the Trolloc is dealt with he says now they know how the Trollocs got to the Two Rivers. He says that they won't make it to their intended Waygate and asks Loial how far it is to the Fal Dara one. (Episode 107)
• Machin Shin tells Lan: You can't protect her. You'll watch her die. (Episode 107)
• Lan grabs Nynaeve and gets her out of the Ways. (Episode 107)
• Lord Yakota greets Lan as "Dai Shan" and welcomes them on behalf of Lord Agelmar. Uno personally greets Lan. They walk to the throne room. Lord Agelmar greets Lan. (Episode 107)
• Moiraine worries that she's taken too much from Lan. He assures her that she has given him something to live and die for, which he did not have before. (Episode 107)
• Lan makes his way through Fal Dara. He senses that Nynaeve is following him. He continues until he gets to a door and knocks on it. He enters and exchanges warm greetings with a family. Nynaeve moves closer so that she can see in through the windows. Lan and the family settle down for dinner. He senses that Nynaeve is still outside, so he leaves around back and sneaks up behind her, surprising her. He invited her inside to join him and she accepts. (Episode 107)
• After dinner, Lan and Nynaeve walk back together to his door. After a long silence, he bids her goodnight and goes into his room. About a minute later Nynaeve opens his door and enters. She asks him if he wants her to go and he kisses her in response. They then share an intimate moment. (Episode 107)
• Lan explains "Dai Shan" to Nynaeve. (Episode 107)
• Lan knocks on Nynaeve's door. Nynaeve opens it and he comes in. He tells everyone that Moiraine has masked their bond. (Episode 107)
• Nynaeve tells Lan that after the attack on the Two Rivers, it was Moiraine that she tracked and not him. She tells him that Moiraine has a "tell" and that she's willing to teach him the tell if he brings Rand back. He tells her that "I will hate the man you choose, because he is not me. And I will love him, if he makes you smile. You are as beautiful as the sunrise. You are as fierce as a warrior. You are a lioness, Wisdom." (Episode 108)
• Lan is wending his way through the Blight, following Moiraine, when he spies the remains of the Seven Towers of Malkier. He pauses for a moment and then continues. (Episode 108)
• Lan at the Eye arrives and asks her where Rand is and she tells him he's gone. Lan asks her to unmask the bond, but she tells him she can't because she can't touch the Source. (Episode 108)
• Moiraine shows Lan the chunk of cuendillar. He thought that nothing, not even the One Power could break it. She says it means that this was not the Last Battle, but probably just the first. (Episode 108)
