One of the new Forsaken. Known in Salidar as Halima Saranov. Although a woman, she channels saidin.
Physical Description#
She has green eyes, ivory skin, an oval face and glossy black hair. (LoC,Prologue) She is beautiful and voluptuous with green eyes and long black hair. (ACoS,Ch12) She wears blue-slashed green silk that leaves half her bosom on display and fits much too snugly over hips that she rolls blatantly. (KoD,Ch23)
Chronology (Possible Spoilers)#
- After their debacle at the Eye of the World, the Great Lord captures Aginor's and Balthamel's souls giving them new bodies and new names, Osan'gar and Aran'gar. They are introduced to their new boss, Shaidar Haran. (LoC,Prologue)
- Aran'gar gets a new identity as Halima Saranov, friend of Cabriana Mecandes. (LoC,Ch30)
- Halima Saranov arrives in Salidar and joins Delana as her secretary. She claims to have known Cabriana Mecandes and has information about the White Tower's plans. (LoC,Ch30)
- Halima tells Delana to support all the factions of the Sitters. She tells Delana to try to get Logain gentled or killed. (LoC,Ch37)
- Halima dances with Mat. She is shocked when her channeling flows disappear as they touch Mat. (LoC,Ch44)
- Aran'gar frees Moghedien from the a'dam necklace and tells her to "vanish as quickly and silently as Logain did." She tells Moghedien that she is summoned to Shayol Ghul. (LoC,Epilogue)
- Halima brings Egwene a note from Delana which says that she is putting before the Hall a motion to declare Elaida Black Ajah because Halima's account from Cabriana. Halima gives Egwene a neck rub. (ACoS,Ch12)
- Halima has moved into Egwene's tent. (TPoD,Ch15)
- Aran'gar buries a body in the snow. She thinks about tonight's dreams. She could wipe out all these Aes Sedai, but the Great Lord would not be pleased. (TPoD,Ch16)
- Halima accompanies Delana to the meeting between the Sitters and the Andorans and Murandians. (TPoD,Ch17)
- Halima watches as Egwene talks with Talmanes. (TPoD,Ch18)
- Halima has a lengthy discussion with Delana on the way back to the camp. (TPoD,Ch19)
- Moridin brings Cyndane to a meeting with Demandred, Graendal, Osan'gar and Aran'gar. He has Cyndane report on Rand's plans to cleanse saidin then orders the others to follow Rand and take him or kill him. (WH,Ch13)
- Aran'gar, Cyndane, Demandred, Graendal, Moghedien, Osan'gar and Semirhage respond to the call of the Choedan Kal and Travel to Shadar Logoth to stop Rand. Aran'gar confronts Eben, Daigian, Beldeine and Nesune, but Eben detects her channeling saidin and leaps at her. (WH,Ch35)
- Egwene confides in Halima about some of her plans. When she sends Halima out for a private conversation with Siuan, Halima is clearly angry and Egwene's headache begins immediately. (CoT,Ch18)
- The night after the Sitters discuss an alliance with the Black Tower Halima is not around. She returns the late in the night seeming agitated. (CoT,Ch20)
- Halima leaves early in the morning the day of Egwene's mission to Tar Valon. (CoT,Ch30)
- Moridin calls a meeting in Tel'aran'rhiod and Aran'gar, Cyndane, Demandred, Graendal, Mesaana, Moghedien and Semirhage attend. Aran'gar tries to set up an alliance with Graendal because she has excellent connections among Darkfriends. Moridin orders them to kill Mat and Perrin but Rand is his. Aran'gar has her own plans for Rand. (KoD,Ch3)
- As soon as Jahar Narishma mentions a man channeling, Delana runs from the tent where the Sitters are meeting. She, Halima and Miesa are last seen hurrying to the Traveling Ground carrying their bags. (KoD,Ch23)
- Aran'gar and Delana arrive at Natrin's Barrow and stay with Graendal. When Rand sends Ramshalan, Graendal has Aran'gar and Delana Compel him. She abandons them to Rand's balefire. (ToM,Prologue)
