An Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah. She sometimes has the Talent of Foretelling. She is the youngest daughter of a minor House in the north of Murandy.

Elaida is the first novice in recent memory to finish novices training in only three years. (NS,Ch2)
More than thirty years ago, Meidani and Elaida are pillow-friends as novices, but Elaida breaks off the friendship when she is raised to Accepted. (CoT,Prologue, KoD,Ch25)
