He is half a head shorter than Rand and stocky with thick arms and shoulders. He has curly brown hair. (TEotW,Ch3) His eyes were dark brown before becoming a Wolfbrother. (TGH,Ch14) He is about 6'1" or 6'2" and about 235 to 240 pounds.
Perrin and the rest of the group enjoy Thom's stories in the common room. After a Fade confronts Rand, the group flees. At the town gate they are confronted by Whitecloaks before they can escape. (TEotW,Ch17)
Perrin and the rest of the party ride east for three days. They are attacked by Trollocs and take refuge in Shadar Logoth. (TEotW,Ch18)
After they make camp, Mat convinces Rand and Perrin to go exploring. They meet Mordeth who offers them treasure, then attacks them. They barely reach camp before dark. Lan returns from scouting with news there are Trollocs nearby so they prepare to flee. (TEotW,Ch19)
As they ride, Mashadar separates Moiraine and Lan from Mat and the rest. Trollocs attack and everyone scatters. Egwene meets up with Perrin, but she falls behind when Trollocs give chase. Perrin falls in the river, but makes it across losing his horse and his cloak. (TEotW,Ch20)
Perrin has more dreams of Ba'alzamon. Elyas Machera finds Perrin and Egwene. He introduces them to the wolves and agrees to lead them back to the road. (TEotW,Ch23)
Rand insults Mat, Perrin and Loial hoping they will stay away from him. (TGH,Ch3)
Perrin spends much of the evening in an isolated courtyard so Egwene and Mat never find him. After the attack, Perrin goes to visit Mat, but Leane chases him away after she Delves him. He talks to Rand for a bit, then leaves. (TGH,Ch7)
With Hurin missing, Perrin calls the wolves and gives them the scent of Trollocs and Fain. They tell him to continue south. Perrin tells Ingtar about the wolves and he accepts Perrin's offer to lead. (TGH,Ch14)
Moiraine tells Perrin a bit about men and wolves. That night he meets Hopper in his dreams where he sees a strange man skinned alive and walks in on Lanfear. (TDR,Ch9)
In a dream, Hopper shows Perrin Ba'alzamon and Lanfear. Perrin then sees Rand who tries to kill him. Perrin wakes, goes to Moiraine and tells her everything. He then goes up on deck. (TDR,Ch36)
Lan, Perrin, Loial and Faile scout the area and find traces of Darkhound. Perrin has his first prophetic dreams, then wakes to find Faile by his bed. (TDR,Ch43)
Perrin finally frees Faile after being attacked by falcons. He wakes to find himself back in the inn with Faile tending his wounds. They murmur sweet nothings to each other. (TDR,Ch55)
Faile and Perrin are discussing leaving the Stone of Tear when a bubble of evil causes Perrin's axe to attack them. (TSR,Ch2)
Thinking Rand was responsible, they head to his quarters. Faile is upset by the way Perrin looks at Berelain. Perrin goes on to visit Rand. Discovering his injuries, he hastily sends for Moiraine. (TSR,Ch3)
Perrin roams the taverns looking for rumor of an adventure that will take Faile out of danger. (TSR,Ch9)
Berelain flirts with Perrin in Faile's presence. Perrin uses this to try to anger Faile into leaving him. (TSR,Ch14)
Perrin asks Loial to take him through the Ways to the Two Rivers. He agrees, but Faile already tricked him into promising to take her, too. Gaul agrees to accompany Perrin. (TSR,Ch16)
Perrin leads an attack on a band of Trollocs, but it turns out to be an ambush and many of his men are killed. Perrin is seriously wounded with an arrow in his side. (TSR,Ch40)
Perrin and others enter a Tinker camp after fighting Trollocs. Faile and Ila put him to bed and give him a potion to make him sleep. (TSR,Ch41)
In the wolf dream, Perrin discovers that the Waygate is open again. Slayer attacks him but he escapes. When he wakes, he insists that the band ride back to Emond's Field. (TSR,Ch42)
Perrin wakes to the news that Loial and Gaul are gone. He wants to go after them but is too weak. Instead, he organizes the Emond's Field defenses against the first Trolloc attack. (TSR,Ch44)
Perrin manages continuing Trolloc attacks. In the wolf dream he seriously wounds Slayer. When he wakes he hears that Luc fled. He asks Faile to go for help. She agrees, but her price is a wedding so they are married. (TSR,Ch53)
Perrin and Faile build a manor house in Emond's Field and he slowly adjusts to his new status. After some time, Perrin feels Rand's pull again and tells Faile that he must go to him. (LoC,Prologue)
Berelain stalks Perrin and Faile is intensely jealous. She constantly smells angry and hurt and she will not speak to him. Perrin avoids Berelain by hunting with Gaul and visiting the Royal Library. (LoC,Ch50)
Faile traps Loial into playing endless games of stones when Perrin is around. Perrin is watching a game when Nandera comes looking for Rand. (LoC,Ch51)
Perrin learns that Rand was kidnapped and plans to set out in pursuit the next morning. (LoC,Ch53)
Perrin leads the forces from Cairhien north. He contacts the wolves for surveillance information. They rejoin the Two Rivers men and the Salidar Aes Sedai embassy. (LoC,Ch54)
In the aftermath of Dumai's Wells, Perrin is with most of the armies a ways from the battle site. He is worried about Faile. He wants to stay away because it is horrible, but feels he has to let Rand know how tense things are. He rides north on Stepper. (ACoS,Ch1)
Rand and most of the rest leave to find Berelain. Perrin and Faile go to their quarters. She is mad until he gets mad back. Rand returns and asks him to lead the army. He refuses and Rand says he has another use for him. (ACoS,Ch6)
Rand and Perrin have a fight about the treatment of the captured Aes Sedai. Rand tells Perrin that he never wants to see him again and to get out of Cairhien. Perrin then leaves the city, meets up with a small army, and they Travel to Ghealdan. (ACoS,Ch27)
Perrin meets Elyas who gives him advice about Faile. Alliandre arrives and swears fealty to Perrin and through him to Rand. Perrin orders seven Dragonsworn hung for murder. (TPoD,Ch10)
Perrin and the others leave Abila and ride back to camp. Perrin is furious that Masema insists on riding all the way to Cairhien. (WH,Ch1)
Perrin learns that Faile was kidnapped. He contacts the wolves, but they cannot help him. After organizing the search, he goes to sit on a ridge with Tallanvor. (WH,Ch2)
Perrin searches the wolf dream for Faile and nearly freezes to death. Berelain finds him and has AnnouraHeal him. The next morning, he rebuffs her so she starts a rumor that he spent the night with her. He heads off to find Masema. (WH,Ch5)
Perrin issues orders to mobilize the camps. The scouts return and report to him that Faile was taken gai'shain by the Shaido and that they are heading south. When Masema arrives with thousands of Dragonsworn, he agrees to Travel with Perrin in search of Faile. (WH,Ch6)
In the wolf dream, Perrin smells an awful odor. The wolves will only tell him the Last Hunt is coming. As he walks through the camp, he discusses information and strategy with Balwer. (CoT,Ch5)
As Perrin and Aram circle the camp, they find Darkhound tracks and Perrin recognizes the scent from his dream. He sends Aram to get the others. Berelain brings him a note stolen from Masema signed by Suroth. (CoT,Ch6)
Perrin watches as Masuri inspects the Darkhound tracks. Masema arrives and tries to talk him into visiting the town of So Habor for supplies. Perrin says freeing Faile comes first, and then the trackers return. (CoT,Ch7)
After hearing several opinions, Perrin decides against ransom. He sends for Grady so they can scout the Shaido camp. During the mission, Perrin sees a whirlpool of color with two figures. The channelers are all upset at the huge use of the One Power, but he assures them that it is Rand. (CoT,Ch8)
Running out of food, Perrin finally agrees on an expedition to So Habor to buy grain. (CoT,Ch25)
At The Golden Barge in So Habor, Perrin and Berelain negotiate for grain with the merchants. Perrin insists on seeing the warehouses where they discover the grain is infested with weevils. The town also has a plague of ghosts. (CoT,Ch26)
Perrin and the others return from So Habor to their camp where they find Masema as well as Shaido prisoners being tortured. The Maidens say it could take days. Perrin cannot wait; he chops off one of the men's hands, then threatens to turn them all into quadriplegics. In the woods, he talks with Elyas about his feeling when he uses the axe. Elyas assures him it is just excitement, but Perrin still throws away his axe. Balwer brings news of Tallanvor and the Seanchan. Perrin agrees to meet with them. (CoT,Ch27)
As they near the gates of Malden, Aram suddenly tries to kill Perrin but dies from a Shaido arrow. Perrin sees Faile being led by a Shaido warrior and kills him. The battle is soon over and Perrin and Faile prepare to move their people north. (KoD,Ch30)
Perrin struggles to organize everyone to leave Malden. Now that Faile is rescued, he feels curiously let down rather than happy. (TGS,Ch9)
Perrin feels a lack of focus since rescuing Faile and worries about his rage in battle. (TGS,Ch17)
In the wolf dream, Perrin asks Hopper for help on self-control but Hopper will not listen. Perrin resolves to address his problems. (TGS,Ch21)
Perrin has bad dreams about his perceived failures. They have been camped for days since the snakes attacked poisoning many. (ToM,Prologue)
Perrin and Faile inspect the patch of Blight with the Wise Ones, Berelain and others. He orders it destroyed. In the wolf dream he joins the hunt with Hopper and other wolves and brings down a stag. He has visions of danger awaiting them. (ToM,Ch4)
Perrin holds a staff meeting. They agree to send a scouting mission to Cairhien. Sulin reports a Whitecloak army on the road ahead. (ToM,Ch6)
Gaul, Sulin and Elyas report that the Whitecloaks are holding Basel Gill and his companions. Perrin orders a move to a better camp while they try to parley their release. (ToM,Ch7)
Perrin sets up camp near a huge statue with a blade thrust into the ground. Dain Bornhald rides up to the camp and Perrin agrees to a brief meeting with Galad. (ToM,Ch10)
Perrin and Faile celebrate their one-year anniversary and reconnect. (ToM,Ch16)
Hopper teaches Perrin how to use the wolf dream. They find a strange, translucent wall which disappears. (ToM,Ch18)
Perrin and Faile go to bed, but he is troubled because he really does not want a battle. In the wolf dream, Slayer kills Morninglight. Perrin tries to fight him but he is too strong. Perrin wakes and chops wood to think. (ToM,Ch24)
The next morning, Perrin's army meets the Whitecloaks. He orders the channelers and Two Rivers men to intimidate them then asks for one last parley and they agree. At the parley, Galad and Berelain are smitten. Galad gets a second shock when he and Morgase recognize each other. Perrin and Galad agree to a trial with Morgase as judge. (ToM,Ch26)
In the wolf dream the violet dome is back and Slayer kills more wolves. Perrin barely survives. He and Hopper agree to practice every night. (ToM,Ch28)
When the bubble of evil strikes and weapons start attacking, Perrin's hammer does not come alive. Perrin sends a letter to the Whitecloaks requesting a delay in the trial. (ToM,Ch29)
Perrin and Hopper practice in the wolf dream. The violet dome still limits movement. They go to Dragonmount and Perrin witnesses Rand-s epiphany. (ToM,Ch30)
Morgase sits in judgment at the trial. Byar and Bornhald testify and Perrin admits to killing the two Whitecloaks but says he fought on the same side as Geofram Bornhald at Falme. Morgase judges it to be a fight between mercenaries and finds Perrin guilty of illegal killing, not murder. She gives his punishment to Galad and he delays his sentence. (ToM,Ch34)
Perrin continues northeast and plans to hide in Tar Valon. Slayer attacks the whole way. (ToM,Ch36)
Slayer retrieves the dreamspike. He kills Hopper and seriously wounds Perrin. In a last gasp effort, Perrin knocks them both into a nightmare. (ToM,Ch37)
Perrin finally accepts his duty as a leader and forges a great war hammer. He orders the army to prepare and the channelers to open a gateway to the Whitecloak camp. As Perrin suspected, an army of Shadowspawn arrives and Perrin attacks. (ToM,Ch40)
Arrows fall, but they hit the approaching Shadowspawn army. Galad is distressed at how poorly the Whitecloaks fight. He is unhorsed and breaks his ankle, but Perrin offers his horse. He sentences Perrin to pay blood price to the Whitecloaks' families and to fight in the Last Battle and Perrin agrees that is fair. Byar attacks Perrin from behind but Bornhald kills him. (ToM,Ch41)
Near Whitebridge, Perrin inspects a stand of trees that went dead and dry overnight. He is quite surprised when Morgase and Tallanvor ask him to marry them. They exchange vows and he offers a too brusque ceremony. (ToM,Ch44)
Perrin bids farewell to Mat, Thom] and Noal. Then the channelers open a large gateway and Perrin's army marches through to the Field of Merrilor. He can feel the Last Battle starting. (ToM,Ch53)

TDR,Ch37 - Egwene has several dreams of Perrin. Perrin with a wolf, and with a falcon, and a hawk - and the falcon and the hawk fighting. Perrin running from someone deadly. Perrin stepping willingly over the edge of a towering cliff while saying, "It must be done. I must learn to fly before I reach the bottom." An Aiel, and she thought that had to do with Perrin, too.
TDR,Ch48 - Egwene has more dreams of Perrin. Perrin with a falcon on his shoulder. Perrin choosing between that axe he wore now and a blacksmith's hammer.
TFoH,Ch15 - Egwene dreams of Perrin, lounging with Faile on his lap, kissing her while she played with the short-cut beard he wore in the dream. Behind them two banners waved, a red wolf's head and a crimson eagle. A man in a bright yellow coat stood near to Perrin's shoulder, a sword strapped to his back; in some way she knew that he was a Tinker, though no Tinker would even touch a sword. And every bit of it except the beard seemed important. The banners, Faile kissing Perrin, even the Tinker. Every time he moved closer to Perrin it was as if a chill of doom shot through everything.
LoC,Ch15 - Egwenedreams - Perrin came and stood before her, a wolf lying at his feet, a hawk and a falcon perched on his shoulders glaring at each other over his head. Seemingly unaware of them, he kept trying to throw away that axe of his, until finally he ran, the axe floating through the air, chasing him. Again Perrin; he turned away from a Tinker and ran, faster and faster though she called for him to come back.
ACoS,Ch7 - Rand worries about loyalties. Perrin and Faile - are their loyalties to him or to each other? Perrin was with Kiruna a long time. Rand thinks he will trust Mat and Perrin and Min.
ACoS,Ch33 - Rand has nightmares that he fights with Perrin and kills him.
ACoS,Ch33 - Rand visits the Sea Folk and the rebel camp four days after Perrin left. Min suspects their fight was faked.
ACoS,Ch41 - Rand has more nightmares about fighting with Perrin.
TPoD,Ch15 - Egwenedreams of Perrin and a Tinker (Aram) frenziedly hacking their way through brambles with axe and sword, unaware of the cliff that lay ahead. And the brambles screamed with human voices they did not hear.
